Raja backs down on signing Feindouno

Raja Casablanca of Morocco have announced they will not sign 33-year-old Guinean, Pascal Feindouno, for medical reasons.

Feindouno arrived in Casablanca to start negotiations with Raja officials, according to the club chairman, Mohamed Bou Dreka.

"Feindouna is here in Casablanca and we are talking with him about playing for our team. We want to go far in African Champions League and he will help us," the club chairman had said earlier.

But a statement on the official website of the Casablanca club announced that they will no longer be signing the former Bordeaux man due to "medical reasons."

"The club board decided to close the page of signing Feindouno for medical reasons," Raja offcial website published.

The Casablanca-based club still have a place for a foreign player to sign him this in transfer window.

The team's head coach, Abdelhak Benchikha, asked the board to sign an attacker after their marksman Mohsen Yagor refused to extend his contract.
