Super Eagles kits manufacturing company, Adidas has denied ever terminating their existing contract with Nigeria following the ouster of the Aminu Maigari-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Unconfirmed reports had it that the sports manufacturing giant has suspended the contract with the NFF as a result of the crisis in the football house.
However, Adidas Public Relations Manager, South Africa, Gugu Ntuli said though the kits company frowns at government interference in the running of any football federation its contract with the NFF is intact.
"Adidas does not condone government interference in football and we fully support Fifa’s decision. We have shared our concerns to the Nigeria Football Federation but our contract remains unchanged at this time.
"Fifa has said the suspension will be lifted once the properly elected NFF officials are able to work without interference.
"We have not terminated the contract because we are hoping that this will be the case again soon.
"If the situation doesn't change we will continue our ongoing discussions with the NFF but as it stands our contract remains unchanged at this time," said Gugu.
Nigeria have been given Tuesday, July 15 deadline by the world football body to reinstate the sacked NFF board or face permanent sanction.
