Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa says he is still looking for “two or three” new signings ahead of the 2014/15 PSL season.
The Urban Warriors have so far drafted in Zimbabwean midfielder Milton Ncube and Malawian international forward Robin Ngalande, but De Sa feels they are still light in certain positions.
The team is currently in camp in George and that has given De Sa the opportunity to run his eye over a few of the team’s development players, including Jody February, Ziyaad Eksteen and Olwethu Maloyi.
"I am still looking for 2-3 players in key positions, hopefully we can sign them them quickly." De Sa said, before adding his satisfaction with the form of the youngsters so far. "I am very happy with their efforts so far, they show great potential. PSL will be a different story for them, we will have to bring them in slowly. Hopefully they can learn quickly and continue to improve."
Ajax have been playing against lower leagues sides from the George area and De Sa is pleased with the way they have dealt with these sides.
"So far the camp has been good, everything is well arranged and the boys are happy, although the opposition are not PSL material, it enables us to raise match fitness, test different combinations and get a feeling for the new players."
