Victor Valdes' agent has rejected reports that the goalkeeper has turned down a chance to train with Liverpool.
Valdes has not played since injuring knee ligaments during Barcelona's 3-0 win over Celta Vigo in March and is on the lookout for a new club after his Camp Nou deal expired in June.
The 32-year-old was widely expected to join Monaco in Ligue 1 after announcing he would leave Barca, but the French club were put off a deal due to fitness concerns.
That has seemingly opened the door for Liverpool to sign the Spain international, with doubts lingering over the consistency of current first choice, Simon Mignolet.
British media reports, however, claimed a deal at Anfield had fallen through due to Valdes refusing to go on a four-day trial in a bid to prove his fitness to Brendan Rodgers - but Gines Carvajal has firmly denied an offer ever existed.
"Liverpool have not offered us the chance to train with them for four days," he revealed to SPORT.
"And we have not rejected the offer, because it is false.
"That proposal was never made to us by Brendan Rodgers nor by Liverpool at any moment."
